Privacy Policy

ZebraHouse Studios Inc., British Columbia, Canada.
Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ZebraHouse Studios Inc. (“ZebraHouse Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information across the games we publish (each a “Game,” and together our “Games”), including Floppy Fish. It applies to all of our Games that link to this Policy. We do not operate our own servers or databases and do not store your personal data ourselves — the limited data involved is handled by Apple or Google, stored in your own iCloud account, or kept only on your device, as described below. Our Games work offline; some features — leaderboards, ads, and in-app purchases — require an internet connection.

1. Information We Collect

a. Leaderboards

Our Games use Apple Game Center for leaderboards. To display rankings we process your Game Center player identifier / nickname and your game scores (such as your high score). Your Game Center identity is managed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.

b. Advertising

Our Games are supported by Google AdMob and may show interstitial ads and optional (opt-in / rewarded) ads you choose to watch. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect:

AdMob is a Google service; its processing is also governed by Google’s privacy policy.

c. Purchases

Our Games offer in-app purchases, including premium in-app currency — for example, Coins and Pearls in Floppy Fish, where Pearls are the premium currency. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive your purchase status/history to deliver what you bought; we do not receive your full payment-card details.

d. Support

If you email us, we receive your message and email address to respond.

e. Data stored on your device

Some information, such as your game settings and preferences, is stored only on your device (for example, in the app’s local storage). This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the Game. Your high scores are also synced to iCloud, as described below.

f. iCloud game data

If you are signed in to iCloud, we use Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Storage to save certain game data — your premium currency (Pearls) balance, the skins you have unlocked, whether you have purchased the starter pack, and your high scores — so your purchases and progress carry over if you reinstall the Game or use another device. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and managed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; we do not have access to your iCloud account. If you are not signed in to iCloud, this data is kept only on your device. Because iCloud data is designed to persist, it is not automatically removed when you delete the Game — see Section 9 for how to remove it.

g. Analytics & crash reporting

We do not currently use separate analytics or crash-reporting services. If we add them in the future, we will update this Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures before doing so.

2. How We Use Information

3. Advertising Choices & App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, apps must ask permission before using your device’s advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Where required, our Games show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can allow or deny tracking. If you deny, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.

You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Rewarded/opt-in ads are shown only when you choose to watch them.

4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Games and purchases), our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Games, non-personalized ads), your consent (where required, e.g., personalized advertising), and legal obligations.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on your ad and tracking settings and where you live, the use of advertising identifiers for personalized ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain laws (e.g., California’s CPRA). You can opt out using the tracking controls in Section 3.

6. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Leaderboard scores are retained while your entry remains active; advertising data is retained by Google per its policies; purchase records are retained as needed for support and legal/accounting requirements.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Games are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because our Games include third-party advertising and in-app purchases, they are intended for general audiences. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may exercise rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing.” EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in Canada. Information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other countries where Apple, Google, and we operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
